Braxton's Story...
Hi, I'm Braxton and I am a neutered, 49.2 lb, 1 year old male Border Collie on the search for my forever family.

I am a well-mannered dog whose tail is always wagging. I do not jump up on people at all (even on kids or new people), do not jump on the furniture, and I am friendly with everyone I meet. I am house trained and usually only bark when I need to go outside. I will walk into the crate when the door is opened for me and while I do enjoy treats, I don't need to be coaxed to go inside. I sleep fine in a crate overnight with no issues, but would likely be fine either way.

I enjoy being near people and spending time with other dogs, and I have a very even-tempered, intuitive personality. I had a bath yesterday and really enjoyed that, and was even fine for the hair dryer. I also load in and out of a car without needing to be lifted in when I am asked to do so. I know the "sit" and "down" commands, and am very eager to learn more things.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Braxton, a WESTMINSTER Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in WESTMINSTER, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in WESTMINSTER.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in WESTMINSTER already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a WESTMINSTER breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in WESTMINSTER paves the way for another one to be saved.
