Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lili is a sweet 4 year old maltese/shih tzu mix. She is a little on the chunky side but probably weighs around 25 lbs. She would be good at around 20 ;) Lili has been great with the other dogs, our children, and cats too! We are told she is housetrained but never guarantee that with changes in environment and routine. Lili loves car rides and to stretch her legs in the yard. She leashes well and is a couch cuddler. We are very impressed with how quiet and well behaved she is! Due to her breeds, she requires regular grooming to prevent matting and discomfort of the finer hair she has. This lovely lady deserves a forever home! If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Adoption fee is $175. All residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and other known medical issues cared for prior to adoption. *Breeds are not be guaranteed *Housetraining is not guaranteed as our primary concern is major behavioral and medical rehabilitation leaving basic training to adoptive families. We have also found that basic training enhances the bonding between adopter and dog and establishes trust and boundaries. Even if displaying housetrained behavior at rescue, an animal can regress when in a new environment and with a new routine. *If a yard is present, a fence is required. If no yard (condo/apartment, ie) a mandatory leash law is required with access to a dog park for unleashed exercise.
