Hello friends, my name is Sammy! I'm a handsome chihuahua mix born in May of 2014. I currently weigh about 16 pounds.

My journey originally started in New Mexico where I was residing in an over crowded shelter when all of a sudden, I found myself on a transport vehicle traveling many miles to get here. You know I've been through many recent changes in my life lately and I know I'm moving closer and closer to living out my dream life with my forever family.

You know I've come to the realization that this is a big world for a guy like myself and with that being said I'm still adjusting to my new surroundings. On the outside I can be quite curious about new people I interact with and could come off a little shy at first, but using soft voices and having some patience are great tools to help me build up my confidence. I'm working very hard every day to get more comfortable with my new surroundings. What's really on the inside is a loyal, gentle and loving guy and you might even notice a little shadow following you around. I love being in the company of my peeps, my favorite thing ever is getting head rubs I crave the affection from my humans.

I have met other furry friends in the past and those interactions have went great, but if you have any potential canine siblings for me to meet. I'd be more than happy to meet them first just to meet sure that we get along with one another.
