This nice cocker girl needs to be an only dog or can be with a mellow doggie companion who would like to have a friend to hang with. She deserves to have a life as a loved indoor companion. She is a strong girl on a leash.
My name is Shadow. I am a reddish-blonde, bigger, medium sized cocker spaniel girl about 7 years old. My owner was a breeder who listed me for sale on Craig's List. A lady with a local NC cat rescue saw my listing, and was came to get me. She then asked for local rescue help from dog organizations to get me a good home. The Humane Society stepped up to take me in. Shortly thereafter, they reached out to this rescue to get me a great home. The nice rescue owner made arrangements to pick me up. When she got me, I had developed an upper respiratory infection that needed treatment and I also had a pretty bad ear infection that needed medication.
I am heartworm negative, and thanks to the rescue vet my ear infection and respiratory issues are better. I have now been spayed and hope to find my new home soon. I am a friendly, sweet cocker girl. I will do best as an only dog or I can be with a mellow, dog social pal who is not playful but rather would enjoy a doggie companion to just hang out with. I was kept outside as a breeder dog, so I may need a little house training help. I am a good girl looking for a loving home environment where I can be a favorite companion and your baby girl. I would love to be spoiled with attention and love to make up for all the years that no one really cared about me. Please give me a 2nd chance to be a good companion. I am a strong girl on a leash, so you will need to be able to hang on to me when we go places. I will do best with an active family or in a calm home environment with someone who walks a lot and can handle me when I pull hard on a leash.
