Here's what the humans have to say about me:
November 2017: Dixie is so sweet and is a reserved, shy girl but is doing better all the time. She is living with a female dog and doing well. She can be nervous when meeting new people but once she settles in she is wonderful. She would be great in a family who has another fun dog to play with. She is a spunky little ball of energy! Dixie has gone to day care and had a blast playing with the other dogs! She is such a doll! Dixie is living with a young boy and loves him, and has lived with three young girls.
Dixie has changed so much in the time she’s been in her current foster home. She thrives with another confident dog in the home and she is gaining confidence in meeting new people. Dixie is the funniest girl ! She LOVES the water. She does the funniest thing: when you take out the hose and put it in the kiddie pool to fill, she will grab the hose and take off with it! Then she will jump right in and roll around in the water.
Dixie is about 9 months old (as of mid-November) and is a beautiful Lab mix. Mom is a fluffy white Retriever but we don't know who Dad is or what she is mixed with. Mom is a super nice dog and all the pups have been wonderful also. Dixie and her siblings came into our southern partner rescue when someone called the rescuers asking them to take one puppy. When they posted her up needing foster someone else sent a message that there were NINE siblings! Thankfully our partners were able to take all 10, 5 went to another rescue, leaving us with 5 cuties! Dixie is the last to get adopted but we know her turn is right around the corner.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
