My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dear sweet Elliot came to our care because his owner had no time for him, and it was obvious that she didn’t. We first noticed hair loss on his back which, after skin tests and blood work, our vet has concluded is simply due to genetics. His teeth were in horrible condition, so a full dentistry was done and he also had a small benign mass removed from his back. Despite the previous neglect, Elliot has been nothing but delightful and loving since the day he arrived. He took all the poking and prodding at the vet in stride, and is now in top shape and ready for adoption. Elliot is not a barky little fellow at all; in fact, his foster home is an apartment and he’s very popular with the neighbours! He is trained to use pee pads when necessary but absolutely LOVES going for walks with his active foster mom. Elliot is a great passenger in the car, and his favourite place at home is either on a lap or snuggled as close to his person as he can get. He can be a little timid when it comes to loud noises and bigger dogs, but he is very sociable and friendly with people. Elliot the Chihuahua will be 7 in July and weighs about 8 pounds. He will make a wonderful pet for an active adopter who walks daily, and who can spend a lot of time with him. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if Elliot sounds like the little companion you’ve been waiting to welcome home.
