Jake's Info...

Jake's Story...
Jake is a really happy dog who loves running, being pet by his humans, and playing in the water! He would need an owner that understands his breed as an Anatolian Shepherd, or is familiar with any of the livestock guardian breeds. Because of his breed, an owner would need to understand that it may take a bit of time for Jake to warm up to new people. But once Jake has warmed up to you, he is as loyal as they come, and the friends he makes are friends forever.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Odessa Anatolian Shepherd/Akbash dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Anatolian Shepherd/Akbash for sale in Odessa, or seeking a Anatolian Shepherd/Akbash dog from a breeder in Odessa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Odessa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Odessa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Anatolian Shepherd/Akbash breeders who help with Anatolian Shepherd/Akbash rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Odessa paves the way for another one to be saved.
