Jackie's Story...
Adorable Jackie is such a great puppy with a wonderful personality. She was born around April 1st, 2017 and will be ready for her new home on June 3rd. She weighs about 7.5 pounds and we are guessing she will grow to be a medium, but on the small side of medium, as an adult. Possibly 25-40 pounds....but that's just a guess.

She's super smart, and is wonderful with other dogs. She was an owner surrender from a family in Kentucky who had an accidental litter. Mom is being spayed. She has adorable short legs and a long body thus the reason we think she may have some Dachshund in her.

If you are gone 6+ hours a day, a puppy is not the right match for you. Puppies can't be crated for more then a few hours at a time as they can't hold it, they need exercise as they get older, continued socialization, and it's not good for puppies to be crated all day long if no one is home. A 30-45 minute break at lunch is not enough out of crate time for puppy during the day. If you would consider doggy daycare that would be an option if your gone all day, and please include the information of who you will be using on your application.

After June 3rd, this pup will be fostered in a South Naperville, IL home, which is where you and your family would go to meet him. All family members, including 4-legged dogs, must be present at the meet and greet to adopt. In order to schedule a meet and greet, please submit and adoption application which can be found on-line at . Once we receive the application we will process.

Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but is required prior to making arrangements for a meet and greet as all of our animals are cared for in homes. We can't schedule meet and greets until the application is submitted and approved. We don't have a building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes by wonderful families who volunteer their time to save these precious souls. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The adoption fee of $300.00 includes:
Spaying which we pay for when the pup is older and you will receive a coupon
Dewormed with Panacur
Given Albon
Given Metronidazole
Given Flea preventative
Given Heartworm preventative
Vet Checked
Up to date with DHPP puppy vaccination
Rabies Vaccination if over 4 months
Free Health Exam to one of our participating vets

You will receive a free spay/neuter coupon for one of our participating vets to have your pup fixed when the time comes, and we do ask for a fully refundable $100.00 spay/neuter deposit. The foster will go into more detail with you at the meet and greet.

You will receive a free health exam visit to either Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park, Springbrook Animal Hospital,Countryside Animal Clinic of Carol Stream or Naperville Animal Hospital.

Although we make the best guess on the breed and size of our dogs, because they come from shelters or are strays, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the dog. Breed and weight at maturity are only guesses. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED! If an animal is still posted for adoption, he/she is still available. If you see this this post, this puppy is available for adoption so there is no need to email asking about availability.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jackie, a Naperville Beagle/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Dachshund for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Beagle/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Dachshund breeders who help with Beagle/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
