Athena's Story...
This cutie pie is Athena! She's an 8 year old American Eskimo that was found abandoned in a home. She's a super sweet girl but does have problems with food and toy aggression. It's probably best if she were the only pet in the family and the kids are older. Athena is very affectionate and walks well on a leash. Stop by anytime and adopt Athena.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Elyria American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Eskimo Dog for sale in Elyria, or seeking a American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
