Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Elsie is a wonderful girl who is estimated to be 6 or 7 years old and weighs about 17 pounds. She has soft fur and an adorable short tail that wags all the time! This well-rounded little dog is a perfect companion. She is loving and affectionate and also active and fun. Elsie loves to take walks around the neighborhood and does very well on a leash, but be prepared -- if she sees a squirrel or a rabbit, she will give chase! Elsiesometimes plays with toys or with her foster siblingsand she likes to chew on bully sticks but her very favorite thing to do is to patrol the yard in search of squirrels, so a fenced in yard is a must for this girl. She loves to run and when she does it is a beautiful thing to see! When she is inside the house, Elsie likes to be near her people. She follows her foster mom from room to room and as soon as she sits down, Elsie jumps in her lap. This dog absolutely loves to cuddle! She enjoys riding in the car and meeting new people, although she can be hesitant in a crowd. Elsie has learned to “sit” for a treat and she is crate trained. She would enjoy having another playful canine companion in her forever home but Elsie would also do fine as the only dog of an attentive owner.
Elsie is being fostered in Huntsville, AL but is available for adoption in your area. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and current on heartworm and flea prevention. To fill out an application, go to http://forrescue.net/dog-application.
