Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pretty young May lost her home when her companion passed away recently, and though some family members tried to give her a new home, it became clear that May does not like to share her space with other animals. She is very fond of her humans, though — she really enjoys attention from the volunteers, being held, being kissed, being petted, and sitting in a lap soaking up some love. But she really does not care for other cats, nor dogs. Given her youth and affection for people, and her generally happy personality (besides the whole disliking her own kind thing), she would make a nice addition to just about any household, including one with small children — as long as she can be your one-and-only!
May is only about 1-1/2 years old, box-trained, spayed, current on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Adoption fee for adult cats is $50 (cash or check only, please). For more information on May, or an adoption application, email Scituatepound1@juno.com, call the shelter at (401) 647-7200, or visit the shelter during regular hours: Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri 7 to 11 a.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
