My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Tiger Lily - you know, like the flower? (Although my foster family says that I'm prettier than any flower that they've ever seen.)

I'm four years old and about 55 lbs - although a lady never reveals her true weight ;) (Plus, I get kind of squirmy on the scale; that thing really weirds me out.)

I absolutely love people, especially children. In fact, I was roommates with a toddler for a while and we were the best of friends. After all, we both loved to play...and take naps...and then play some more - you know, the important stuff.

I'd love an active family who would take me out to play as well - maybe with a fenced-in yard to run around, and a jacuzzi with a water slide, and an endless supply of hamburgers, etc. Or, you know, just the fenced-in yard, that's cool too. But definitely tons of snuggling after play time; that's a must! Oh, and maybe a rope toy or something rubbery to chew on! I could play with those for hours.

I usually prefer to play with humans though, because I can be a bit picky about whether those other dogs are cool enough to hang with me. Although, I could make an exception for the right sort of hip pupt to room with.

Outside of play time, I'm also super mellow. I love to sleep, especially if there's no one home. I'm fine with taking naps in my crate, but I'd much rather curl up on a blanket on the couch. I'm really good about not having any accidents in the house, so there's no need to worry there!

Anyways, I've got some tail-wagging to do. Thanks for reading this - and I can't wait to meet you!

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
