Silkee's Story...
Where in the world did I get that crazy name? Well let me tell you a few things about Silkee; Silkee can run, Silkee can jump, Silkee can bark, Silkee can go, go, go. That’s right I am a little terrier on the go. I am young and my last family did not have time for me so I still need a little work with my housetraining, well gosh I need a little work with training in general. I was not raised with children and I find they do make me nervous. What I need is a confident person who can stand by me and get me on the right track to becoming the great little dog I know I can be. Come on and take this little Silkee home. 1 year old-8lbs. My adoption is $250 and includes; spay, microchip, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam(Portland/Milwaukie area), 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Silkee, a Portland Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier breeders who help with Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
