Harley's Story...
Harley is a 3 year old, 8.8 lb that was listed as a Chihuahua mix. He has some, probably, wire hair terrier in him which makes him absolutely adorable. This sweet pup is another one that the County found had been abandoned by his owners. Poor little guy. Mind boggling. Well the good news is, we were there to rescue him. He’s absolutely delightful. He gets along well with his roommates and is a lovely blend of active and lovable. Add in a trim figure, young age and this boy will bring you years of happiness. Get in line!
We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida. We have a page on our website that explains our adoption process, and contains a link to our adoption application. Here is the link:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Tavares Chihuahua/Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Wirehaired Fox Terrier for sale in Tavares, or seeking a Chihuahua/Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog from a breeder in Tavares.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tavares already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tavares breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Wirehaired Fox Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Wirehaired Fox Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tavares paves the way for another one to be saved.
