MEET MARLOWE….who came to us from the Lancaster Shelter just about as shutdown as they come. Marlowe is a 10-11 lb., 2-3 yr old, cream with silver tips Maltese/Shih Tzu, and is one of the calmest young dogs we have ever had! She picks and chooses where she wants to “reside” — in this case the couch — and it becomes hers! She will let you sit there if you ask her nicely!! She is a cuddle buddy but is still a bit fearful and slowly coming out of her shell. Marlowe will plant herself wherever she feels safe and let you wait on her! She is the epitome of “princess.” She loves other dogs and loves all people. She would be fine with kids over 8 yrs. She is super sweet, super protective. We’re not sure what happened in her past, but she needs a home that will be patient with her as she blossoms. The best home for her would be one where she gets a lot of attention, there is no chaos and lots and lots of love can ensue! A mature home would be fine, but she does get underfoot. UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
