This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.
NAME: Nala
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
AGE: About 7 Years

Meet Nala. Nala was named after the lead female character in The Lion King. Nala is strong, intelligent, nurturing, yet confident and loving. Her name fits her perfectly.
When we rescued Nala from the shelter, she was in desperate need of immediate medical care. She had two inguinal hernias (her intestines were poking through her abdominal muscles). She immediately had surgery to repair them, and we are happy to report she is completely recovered, doing great and ready for a forever home!
Nala is such a wonderful, sweet girl! Her foster mom says she is an "easy keeper" and very balanced. She loves dogs and people equally. Nala enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home. Her favorite thing to do is to do "zoomies" in the back yard. She races back and forth, encouraging the other dogs to run with her. She also loves toys, especially squeaky toys! She is joyful all the time! One thing that is unique about Nala - she doesn't like to get dirty! She avoids the mud. Her foster parents love that as it cuts down on baths - LOL.
When Nala is done playing, she adores being with her family. She enjoys cuddling with you on the couch as you watch TV. And she is so calm. While she enjoys cuddling, she is not clingy! She also is not a big barker! If you are looking for a lap dog, Nala is your girl!! Nala is super friendly and gets along well with children.
Nala is 7 years old, about 9 pounds, and has the most beautiful blue and cinnamon colored coat and green eyes! Nala is smart. She is housebroken, including pee pad trained, and will use a doggie door. She is also great about holding her potty all day until her family gets home at night. Nala is crate trained, but she would prefer to sleep in bed with you if you will let her! We believe she would do fine as an only dog as she is independent. But she would also enjoy having 4 legged siblings. And she would do well in a family with children as she is friendly and enjoys being around people!

Nala is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative. and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
