Melody's Info...

I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Melody's Story...
Welcome Melody. She is a 40 pound Black Shepherd/Elkhound cross. She has a scenting nose when she is out doors which make us think she would make a good tracking dog. She is energetic and will need daily exercise. She loves to run and could accompany a runner easily. She is ok on a leash but does pull when she sees something interesting. She is intelligent and will require a fence and an experienced owner either with a GSD or an intelligent-stronger large breed dog. She is a great dog and with a confident owner will make a great companion. She has a beautiful thick coat and would great on the East or the West Coast. She would be best with a male dog or as an only dog. She is fully vetted, healthy and ready for her forever home. She can be adopted on the East or the West Coast. Her adoption fee is 170 and transport is 185. Contact me for an application.

Act quickly to adopt Melody. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melody, a Pluckemin German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Pluckemin, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Pluckemin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pluckemin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pluckemin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pluckemin paves the way for another one to be saved.
