My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scout really dodged the bullet and was rescued in his final minutes from a high kill shelter. He came from San Antonio TX after landing in the shelter with part of his front leg missing. We got him safe, had him sedated and got his leg cleaned and his wound addressed. Our vet feels he got it caught in a small trap and chewed it off to escape a painful death. Poor little thing had suffered for some time. You would never know it now though. This little dog loves everything and everything. He is semi high energy, fast as lightning, and has zero problems getting around. All open wounds are now nearly healed.
He does well with all dogs,large to small. No young children in his potential adoptive home as he shows some fear around young children and appears to have been abused by them at some point in his life. Really doesn't like being picked up but will allow it as long as you do so slowly and patiently. He loves to sleep with you and is very content to spend hours in your lap, Good on a leash, and good on car rides. Very very sweet boy, and has the most gorgeous soulful brown eyes. Best suited for a mature couple or senior.
