My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lotus is a shiny, ladylike black cat who was adopted out with London, but they were both returned after more than a year because London had a bladder infection. She started out abandoned in Fort Lee family housing with her kittens, and she was sick with mastitis -- infected mammary glands from nursing. She was VERY skinny and VERY weak, so the shelter thought she was dying, but we nursed her back to perfect health! She's a very, very gentle, sweet, nonaggressive cat who's not timid, but we don't think she'd fit into a noisy house with very young children or bully cats/dogs. She's just a shiny little black butterfly who wants a soft, warm bed, lots of kisses and hugs, and a sunny window to look out of, and to be with you at all times.
