My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elliot, a Corgi mix, is 9 months old and ready and seeking the love of his life. To best understand Elliot you need to look no further than his namesake. Elliot is named after Elliot, a character from Pete the Dragon because like Elliot in the movie, he has some fears of people, but deep down is a loving little guy. Eliot is learning to love humans and has some fears of them but LOVES other dogs. So much so sometimes he barks and can not WAIT to meet them. He is excitable on a leash so he will need some training. We suspect he is part Border Collie, so we recommend a home with young children. Elliot would love a furry sibling he could learn from, but he will not be happy to have a furry sibling that is a cat:).

Elliot is housebroken and very smart. He will benefit from a strong pack leader that can work with him to build confidence and teach him proper behaviors. In the home, he is a loving companion and will be the most loyal pal to the human that invests in his growth and helps him be the best he can be. We are hoping we can find Elliot a human that needs him as much as he needs them....those are the best happy tales!

If you think Elliott may be the pup for you please fill out our online adoption application by visiting our website: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html

**Please note that our dogs may be located in foster homes around NJ and the NYC area. It would be a great help to us if you can pick up your dog from transport, which is centrally located from Northern NJ and NYC, or foster home.**

**PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR INQUIRY** We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them. Please do not submit an inquiry if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process.

Our adoption fee is $475. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.

All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where it is kept for a minimum of 2 weeks for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. After the 2 week quarantine time they are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. They are then placed on the website. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested in it, we make arrangements with the waiting foster to pick the animal up from the airport to then meet with the potential adopter. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
