My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This nice gal is Octavia. She is a transfer from another facility so her history is unknown. Octavia is a 1.5 year old lovable Chihuahua mix. Sometimes Chihuahuas can be a little nippy...not this girl. She's as friendly and affectionate as can be. She really doesn't even look much like a Chihuahua but that's what they're calling her. Poor Octavia just had a serious hip operation called FHO. She came through it beautifully but needs a few months of care and rest. A quiet adult home would be best. She's all set to lay around and be your best buddy. She doesn't ask for much. The staff can fill you in on her surgery when you visit. Octavia is definitely worth the trip to Friendship if you're in the market for a small best friend. She just has a quiet way that will endear you to her. Ask for Octavia at the front desk.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Neither are recommended for this dog. She needs a quiet home. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
