We adopted Mollie from Operation Paws for Homes from her Foster family in Alexandria, VA in 2013. We had a 2 year old little girl at the time and they quickly bonded playing fetch. Mollie is obsessed with tennis balls! A year later, we had a little boy and Mollie was the guardian of our little baby, always checking on him making sure he was okay.
She has been a wonderful family dog. She is a bit high strung because she LOVES people and wants you to rub her belly and give her love! She loves women, and will be your shadow and protect your home. She is an amazing guard dog! The problem is that Mollie does not like small dogs. Our neighbors seem to all have small dogs. Our newest neighbor just moved in a few weeks ago and adopted a family of 5 Maltese pups!
With having 2 little kids, they are constantly in and out of the house, and Mollie wants to escape and explore the woods we live next to, and chase animals, and go after any small dog that comes close to her property.
We would love to find a family that can take care of her in a location that better suits her needs. She needs to run and play, and not be cooped up in the house because it's so hard to walk her (with other dogs around). Please contact me to meet Mollie!
