Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Carrie was a fast favorite among all of the volunteers at the rescue. She really is pretty close to perfect and it's hard not to fall in love with those big, brown eyes. She is approaching middle age and has had a tough life so far that we are trying to make up for. Physically, she has quite a few issues but her temperament is rock solid. This sweet girl has an overbite, elbow dysplasia, hip dysplasia due to an old pelvis injury and a touch of arthritis in her back. When she first came to us she couldn't even stand up straight because she was in so much pain. Surgical options were explored but we saw major improvements just by providing soft bedding for her to rest on and it was felt that multiple extensive surgeries would be too difficult for her to endure. She will never be a long distance walker or runner but she would be perfect for someone looking for a sweet, calm couch potato. A little romp around the yard is all she needs and she should be careful not to "overdue it". Carrie is great with other dogs of both genders and all sizes, good with kids, and well behaved in the house. She only has one flaw...she absolutely cannot live with cats. Carrie deserves to spend the rest of her life in comfort and surrounded by love to make up for the neglect she suffered for far too long. Carrie is in a foster home in Southern California currently but we are happy to arrange a meet and greet. Any questions? Please contact us at dobierescue@earthlink.net or 805-524-5102.
