Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This gorgeous girl is Zoey and she is looking for a new home. She was purchased and began training to be a service dog but health issues kept her from being well enough to do that kind of work. When Zoey was younger she injured one of her hind legs, a possible ACL tear. Her owner surrendered her because of chronic discomfort and a possible ACL tear in her other hind leg. We took Zoey to our vet where she was sedated for x-rays and a thorough examination. It was found that one hind leg is perfectly healthy and in the other, she has arthritis in her knee from an old fracture which probably explains her discomfort. We don't know what happened exactly in her past but moving forward, she needs a low key lifestyle, soft bedding and pain management throughout her life to help with the arthritis. She also has extremely slight entropion in both eyes. It is so slight that surgery may not be a good idea considering the risk for over-correcting the problem. Her eyes aren't being damaged and she just has some eye ointment that helps keep them lubricated. At 3 1/2 years old, Zoey is strickingly beautiful and has quite a bit of training but she will need someone able to handle her medical needs for the rest of her life. She is dog social, though she lives for the attention and approval of her person and even though she gets a little nervous in the car, she would happily join you everywhere.
