Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi guys! If my name sounds familiar, it’s because I’ve been here before. I came to Helping PAWS because the rescue where I was staying said I was diabetic and that no one would want me. How sad is that? Well the nice folks here at Helping PAWS wanted me, and it turned out that with a few insulin shots and some good healthy food, my diabetes went into remission (which means it went away and now I don’t need shots anymore, just quality, healthy food). Then a really nice family adopted me and loved me and I loved them. Unfortunately, their two cats didn’t love me AT ALL. One of them hissed at me and hid; the other one attacked me every time he got the chance. My family tried keeping us separated, but that just meant that I was alone most of the time which was very hard on me because I am the ultimate “people” cat. I don’t mind other cats, but all I really want is to be with humans. I love being held and cuddled and petted. I love kids too. My ideal home is one where someone would be with me most of the time: maybe a retired person or couple, or perhaps a stay-at-home mom. Or, if you work from home and need someone to keep your keyboard warm, I’d be perfect. If you’re looking for a kitty with lots and lots of love to give, call Helping PAWS and ask for Destinee.
UPDATE! My wonderful sponsor, the PAWTUS Marley and his Mom have paid my adoption fee!
