Gunner's Story...
Gunner is a young male shepherd blend, about a year old, and 45 lbs. He was abandoned because his owner was pregnant - like you can't have a dog and a baby!!? He is very sweet and laid back. He deserves his own family who will keep him and love him. Low energy, walks well on a leash. Look at those markings, just gorgeous! House and crate trained!

We are a Georgia based rescue so all of our dogs are located in Georgia in loving foster homes. We have our own transport which brings adopted dogs North every Saturday. You do not have a chance to meet our dogs prior to adoption. We do stop in 10 different cities from the MA border in CT to NJ & PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gunner, a Southbury Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Southbury, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Southbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
