Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Reese. A happy, go-lucky, girl who lost her beloved guardian to cancer. She was her daddy's world!! He had her since she was a puppy and they loved each other very much!!
Reese is 9/10 years old, weighs about 30lbs and is a cattle dog/beagle mix. She is 100% house-trained, crate-trained and knows basic commands.
Reese is used to being the only dog and wouldn't mind being the center of someone else's world in her next home as well. She is very smart, learns quickly, and adapts to her environment well.
She was boarded at a doggy daycare directly prior to rescue and she very much enjoyed playing with the other dogs. In her foster home (also like a daycare), she does get a little jealous of the others dogs when her foster mom gives them attention and not her. She displays her jealousy by barking.
Warning, this smart girl is a food THIEF! Seriously! She will eye ball your food and the moment you turn your head, she will pull a "snatch and grab". Because of this, we are preferring she not go to a home with young children. She will most definitely take their food!
Reese would make an excellent walking buddy as well as a cuddle buddy!! She always wants to know where you are, what you're doing and lay down with you when you are ready to rest.
Reese does not sleep in her foster mommy's room (too many dogs for her). She would rather sleep alone, untouched. When she's in a deep sleep, if someone (person/dog) touches her, she startles easily.
If you believe you have the right home for sweet girl who lost the love of her life, let us know.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at
https://dogsunlimited.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application-for-dogs-unlimited-rescue/
All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.
THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.
Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email adopt@dogsunlimitedrescue.org
And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!
