Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rusty is a really sweet, loving and sensitive dog. This 6 month old Gordon Setter mix is a pleaser and submissive to other dogs. He has a mild temperament. Rusty was rescued from Corbin, Kentucky by Geauga Moms. They believe that he may have been hit by a car prior to rescue. It healed improperly. The doctors performed an FHO surgery to save the leg. He has been progressing at a really great rate. Dr. Scott at West Park would like to continue to monitor his progress post adoption. Word of warning from the foster - he is a chewer! So keep plenty of toys around for him to chew on! He is house trained and would be great for a family with older kids. Younger children may be too much for his back leg which is still recovering from the surgery.
If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
