Freddie D's Story...
My super derpy, consistently happy-go-lucky foster through CARF: The Critical Animal Relief Foundation is looking for a home! He's an older dude at maybe ten years old with lots of pep in his step! Fred loves everything, but especially car rides, walks, and snacks (with a special love of pizza). He'll get a grooming and a dental before he's adopted out, but will hopefully get to keep his ridiculous snaggletooth. He's met small dogs and is great with them and lives in harmony with my senior pit mix and relative harmony with my cats (he will occasionally chase cats, but is easily redirected). Fred bonds easily with his caretakers and was obviously well-loved before he lost his original home. He's housebroken and crate trained.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Freddie D, a Chicago Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
