Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet, soulful Oren is a 4 year old, 9 pound, Chihuahua mix that would love nothing more than to simply be by your side. Oren is a shy and soft-natured little pup. He is gentle in everything he does from his soft pawing to request a pet, to the gentle way he takes his food or treats. Everything he does is so sweetly and with tenderness.
Oren is very quiet in the home. He appears to be housebroken and is crate trained. He does not use wee-wee pads and prefers to go outside. Oren is currently being fostered in a home with 9 other dogs of all ages, and sizes and 5 children ranging in age from toddlers to teens. He is a sweetheart with each of them, and willing to sit on anyone’s lap and watch a movie or two!
Oren is a couch potato and loves to just sit in the presence a person. He would be a wonderful little dog for someone that would enjoy having a little pup at their feet as they work on their computer during the day or for someone looking for a constant, quiet companion. He does not bark and would do great even in an office for a pet-friendly employer!
Being a quieter, lower energy dog, it makes sense that Oren does not seem interested in toys. He DOES love treats (especially chicken!). When offered a treat…he takes it EVER so gently…with a soft little gratitude. He is perfectly well mannered even when taking his treats! He loves to be outside and enjoys sitting in the grass taking in the sun, or just sitting next to his person on a little bench.
Oren is working on his basic commands and walking on lead. He is making progress every day and blooming little by little in his foster home.
From his foster: Oren is one of the most gentle and sweetest little souls we have fostered. He loves human attention and is just such a lovely little companion. He will be an amazing side-kick for someone looking for a quiet, soft-natured little dog that just loves to be together. He is a true sweetheart!
