My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our sweet and beautiful Pippa couldn't be more of a love bug no matter how hard she tried. Pippa is a wonderful 9 - 12 month old, 11 lb Papillon/King Charles Cavalier mix that is just waiting to be the love of someone's life.

Papillon and Cavalier mixes have grown in popularity tremendously over the past few years. It makes perfect sense in that they're known for their great temperaments and very loving and loyal personalities. Farfel's rescues almost every Cavalier mix and Papillon mix that is in need of our help.. with confidence they will have great personalities and be loyal and loving family members. Pippa has all these wonderful traits and was described by her New Mexico rescuer as a perfect lap dog.

Pippa had a challenging period of time but is now safe and sound…never to be cold or hungry again. But with it all…Pippa doesn't hold a grudge and desires only to be the best companion possible. Since Pippa is very young, she's a blank slate…open to all possibilities if treated kindly and with respect.

Pippa tends to be a happy girl (after initial shyness) who loves life and responds so well to nurturing and time spent together (hugs and kisses are absolutely awesome)... and of course some great treats are always a wonderful option. Pippa gets very attached to those she loves and before you know it, is on her way to her favorite people's lap for belly rubs and soft touches.

Pippa loves to come along (and is very portable at 11 lbs)..be it a walk on a beautiful morning, running errands or just hanging out…Pippa would love to be there as Companion #1. She has such a pleasant personality and is low-maintenance enough to fit in just about anywhere.

We envision Pippa as an only dog or best friends with a kind and gentle companion dog. We would love Pippa to be in a home that will provide her with tons of love, exercise and mental stimulation. We think that she would be ecstatic with getting this type of nurturing attention for the first time in her life.

Pippa would love a home with retirees that have the time and desire to be best friends with a fuzzy companion...she's known to be the greatest lap dog ever! She would blossom with this type of attention and would return the love a thousand times over. A younger family with very gentle dog-loving kids would be great as well. Pippa would shine being at the center of this type of family and would love nothing more than coming along on adventures.

Pippa wouldn't be happy spending long hours alone…she is far too people-oriented to be content with that. If the hours along are short and the family very loving, Pippa will learn that they will always return. This is a lesson that results in a happy and confident companion and best friend.

We've requested that Pippa be fixed prior to her transport to Colorado. We're not optimistic that this will occur due to too many dogs and not enough vets in this industrial area of Kansas. If it does not, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Pippa's spay and microchip if our Denver vet is used.

Pippa will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 6/17/17. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and devoted best friend and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
