My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, nice to meet you. I'm Grizzly, a 5-year-old neutered male Akita/Shepherd mix. I weigh about 70 pounds, I'm fully vaccinated and microchipped.

In addition to being extremely handsome, I'm also a really nice guy. You could easily call me a gentle giant. I've got a calm friendly demeanor, I walk nicely on a leash and I'm great with other dogs. Any family would be lucky to have me!

Let me tell you a little bit about my background. For no good reason whatsoever, my prior owner unceremoniously dumped me at the pound and never looked back. I was heartbroken and completely depressed about the whole situation. As you may or may not already know, the pound is not the safest place for a large dark-colored dog like myself. We often tend to get overlooked by adopters and then euthanized due to lack of kennel space. So, needless to say, after sitting at the shelter for months without any prospect of adoption, my outlook started to look pretty bleak. Thankfully the volunteers at the pound saw what a kind soul I had and they shared my photo with the folks at CageFree. After meeting me, CageFree immediately knew I deserved a second chance at a happy life and so they rescued me from the pound and now here I am looking for a new home. Phew!

I'm a gem of a dog with a gentle disposition and heartwarming soulful eyes. I know I can make my new family very happy and I can't wait to be someone's constant companion. Please contact CageFree and ask to meet me. I'll be waiting patiently.
