Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"My name is DUKE, and "play" is my middle name. I'm an intelligent and alert Belgian Malinois fellow who'll want to be included in all of your activities. If you're looking for a top-notch hiking or jogging partner, I'm your boy. I'm a fit fellow who's about six years old, so I'll want to be adopted by someone who leads a fairly active lifestyle. I'd need to be the only dog in an adult home because I won't want to share my toys with kids or other dogs. When we play ball, however, I'll return and drop the ball right in front of you and allow you to take it without any fuss. I've figured out that it's the best way to get someone to throw it again. Remind me to sit before you throw the ball again so I'll maintain my good manners. I'm bright and obedient, with strong protective instincts, so my adopter should be experienced and confident. I've already been house trained. Please come visit me here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. I sometimes bark at strangers peering into my kennel, so please don't be deterred. Ask the helpful staff to take us out to the play yard so you can get to know all of my great qualities. I hope to see you soon! Love, Duke"
