My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***Due to popular demand we will no longer be accepting applications for Ruby. Thank you so much for your interest!***

RUBY - Female, Beagle mix, 5 yrs, 24 lbs. Kids 10+

Ruby is very sweet and looking for her forever home. She walks well on leash. She can be standoffish at first until she gets to know you. She was taken from a neglect case and this was the second time a dog needed to be removed this home in a year. Ruby has a bit of resource guarding so we recommend no kids under 10 years of age.

From Ruby's foster mom: "Sweet little Ruby is a lower energy dog that is very laid back. She loves her walks and does really well on a leash. She will stop on a dime if a smell just has to be smelled! She loves an extra soft, comfy bed to lay on and she sleeps through the night. I believe she would be best as an only dog as she is nervous with new dogs.
She is one of the sweetest and funny little girls! I enjoy her so much! She sleeps through the night no problem. Ruby is little for a beagle but she does have the bark. It's not a constant barking but it gets your attention when she does. She settled in with us within a day and already knows the routine. She is house trained, but she doesn't know how to tell me so we are working on that. She's very easily pleased. Soaks up all the love and attention that you're willing to give. She's great in the car and absolutely loves her head out the window. This would require a proper car harness to tether properly to the car to avoid her falling or jumping out the window! She loves to snuggle with me but doesn't mind being on her own on her bed. She is crate trained and goes in and out fine. But, she does whine and cry for a short time when she knows I'm going out. She does settle down after I leave."

***Woof.. Please know that the rescue has posted all the information that they have on me here. As my foster family gets to know me they will post updates, so please check back!
