Here's what the humans have to say about me:
“Hello my name is Stoli and I can’t hold my licker.” LOL. Really I’ve never known a dog that can lick so much. Stoli is only about a year old, male and around 40 pounds. He is friendly to everyone he meets as he just wants to be loved on, dogs and puppies as well. He does defend his home turf with a bark and the normal heeler nipping at the feet. He is quickly corrected and will stop and when he knows you are okay, he’s your best friend. Heelers do not react very well to harsh or loud corrections because it makes them be on the defense. A confident and firm “NO” or a swift little jerk of the leash is all that is needed for a correction. A home with very young children is not recommended. Stoli a herding dog and he may nip at small running children, not to be mean but to corral them. He would need to go to a home where he can continue his obedience training. He needs someone who will fulfill not only his physical but also his mental needs thru exercise and challenging activities. Stoli, because of his breed, demands a high level of physical activity. Like many other herding dog breeds, they have an active and fertile mind and if it is not given jobs to do it will find its own activities (which you may not approve of). He will appreciate a walk around the neighborhood, but he needs structured activities that engage and challenge him, and regular interaction with its owner. Because of his level of energy Stoli would do wonderfully in agility or as your hiking buddy. A happy, tired dog makes for a very peaceful home. If you would love to meet Stoli please give me a call – Anita 708-751-4904. He is neutered and up to date on all shorts. His adoption fee is $200.00.
