My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! My name is Wilma. I'm an 8-year-old spayed female Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. I weigh about 14 pounds. I'm a sweet, cuddly little gal who wants nothing more than to sit in your lap all day long! I get along great with people as well as other dogs, so I'd make the perfect pup for any family. Since I'm on the mature side, I don't need a lot of exercise. Just a couple of walks per day and plenty of pets, and I'll be as happy as a clam. Are you the family that can provide that for me?

So I bet you're wondering how I ended up here. Well, I'll tell you. I used to live in a home, but one day I found myself being dropped off at the South LA pound. My previous family didn't give the shelter staff any explanation as to why they no longer wanted to care for me. I can't imagine how they could give me up so easily. I thought family was forever! I'm such a good girl, I'm sure that it wasn't my fault.

I waited patiently in my cage at the pound for over a month, until finally, CageFree heard about my plight and decided to give me a second chance at happily ever after. They pulled me out of the shelter and brought me back to their rescue facility, which is where I now reside. I'm getting to know my new canine and human friends, and I'm acclimating to my environment nicely. But my journey doesn't end here. I'm in search of my fairytale ending!
