My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marley is the most easy going, affectionate little guy we know. We have had Marley nearly a year now and he has been waiting for his forever home for a long time. Marley is between 8-10 years old, is up to date on all shots and had a dental cleaning a few months ago. He was heartworm positive when he came into the rescue but received treatment and is now cured of heartworms but will have to be on heartworm preventative without fail the rest of his life. He also has to take thyroid medication but it is not very expensive.

Marley got a bad rap the first 8 months with us as he was with a foster that worked long hours, and perhaps was not that great with training dogs in general which probably was the reason he had some accidents in the house. He also was adopted once by a family that returned him because he had an accident in the kitchen. This family was new to dog ownership and had young children so he was probably just excited, it happens! These two experiences led everyone to believe that he had an issue with housetraining. Well, we are happy to report that over the last two months with a new foster mom he has not had a single accident since the first week or so there and he is just the happiest, sweetest little guy ever. He loves his beagle foster brothers, loves his naps, and going out in the backyard to sniff every square inch. He goes with his foster mom to dog daycare several days a week and just loves being around other dogs and getting attention. Our vets office staff just love Marley and report that he just sits there and lets them do what they need to do and is very obedient.

Marley is ready for a forever home and is a real doll, email us about Marley today!
