Here's what the humans have to say about me:
“CARL” is an extremely loving and very handsome Miniature Poodle boy who is black and tan or sometimes called a “phantom”. At 13 inches tall and 12.5 pounds, he is a strong, sturdy, very SOFT, gentle and quiet Poodle boy who has been in a home/family environment.
While Carl enjoys sitting quietly on the back of our sofa watching all that is going on around him, he has begun to run around the house doing his “Poodle zoomies” and being a silly, fun loving Poodle with all the other fun loving Poodles.
Carl also greatly enjoys being held, given soft hugs and kisses while sitting in your lap. During his Vet visit and Vet work, he was the center of attention as he is such a soft and gentle Poodle.
This 3 1/2 year old (September 26, 2013) neutered boy took a while to open up and warm up to our home, environment and all the attention we enjoy giving our Poodles. Yes, Carl is reserved and not a social butterfly. This is a Poodle you can enjoy working with while watching him grow with love, patience and time. What an opportunity for the right family to make a difference in this boy’s life.
He is very food AND love motivated and has learned “Come”. If we put a leash on him, he will follow us around the house and will now beg to sit in our laps. Carl likes going for walks as he will walk safely behind me while looking at the world around him (video).
When Carl arrived, he only wanted to spend all of his time in his kennel. We finally had to close and lock his kennel door, otherwise he would figured out a way to climb onto our furniture to get back into his kennel. What a smart boy! What a change we have seen in him now.
IN BRIEF:
Carl has kept his kennel clean and is just fine in our home, but we do keep an eye on him.
He is also just perfect with other dogs his size or smaller or as an only Poodle.
A fenced yard is required as he will not relieve himself while on a leash.
Please no young children or large dogs.
All of Carl’s Vet work has been done. His teeth were cleaned, shots are up to date, he has been Home Again micro chipped and registered, wormed and heartworm tested negative.
However, Carl did test Lymes positive. Our Vet feels it was caught “very early” as Carl did not have a fever nor did he display any Lymes symptoms. He has been treated and HE IS JUST FINE!
Carl is a wonderful, loving boy who comes to us from a divorce situation and now needs to find a new family. Carl has been sad and would enjoy a secure environment with a quiet, loving family.
His $375.00 adoption fee includes the $25.00 Minnesota state sales tax, his kennel, a new blanket, toys, a bag of dog food, dog treats, a dog bed, his leash, collar, a dog coat and all of his Vet work, plus all of his past Vet records. Lots of good information to help your adoption start off on the right paw forward will be included.
Carl is an AKC Poodle, but his papers are not available.
During this past 4TH OF JULY week-end, Carl loved his ride in our 1966 Ford Mustang (not included in Carl’s adoption) to the beach where he had fun playing in the water and watching all the people enjoying this great American Holiday!
