Homer & Millie's Story...
Homer and Millie are super sweet Lhaso Apso mix buddies. They were the victims of neglect and seized by Friendship's Humane Officer. Millie is very friendly. Homer was not happy upon arrival and was found to have an ear infection causing his grumpiness. Having been here a few days he's mellowing out nicely. Just don't touch his ears until they are healed and take it slow when visiting. Who knows what kind of misery they endured but both are hoping to find a loving forever home. They would love to stay together but can be adopted separately. No other information is known about them.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Homer & Millie, a Elyria Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
