Tarzan's Story...

MEET TARZAN!  Hi I'm Tarzan the cute man!! My mom got around, bless her, but it made me just a cutie. Not too big, not too small, just right! And my coat is red and white and really cool.  Unfortunately my original home was not very nice to me at all and I'm happy I'm here. No one hits me, or yells at me they just love me and let me have a great time playing with others. I'm a happy boy and ever so sweet and affectionate and would love a family I could be a part of. I have great manners, and I'm sure I can learn anything you would want to teach me. I would really like a family who would take me for rides and for walks and play with me. Hoping for a second chance at a GOOD life, Tarzan

To meet TARZAN contact the Haywood County Animal Shelter and ask for dog #1354.

Act quickly to adopt Tarzan. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tarzan, a Waynesville American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Waynesville, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Waynesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waynesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waynesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waynesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
