My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

They don't come any sweeter!
Gretel is a gorgeous 3 year old Rottweiler who was surrendered to us after one of her owners died and the other was hospitalized. Previously Gretel lived with 3 other large dogs (a male puppy and 2 other adult females) and loved them all. Gretel loves walks and loves to hog your bed. She does not chew or tear anything up, she's not in your face for attention she's just content to lay on the floor by your feet.
Since having her life turned upside down and losing both parents and her siblings Gretel is a little timid and unsure. She's a very sweet and loving girl but she gets easily spooked. Loud noises, sudden movements, etc. all startle her. *Not a mean bone in her body just very skittish.*
We are looking for a calmer forever home for Gretel with a family who can give her some time, patience, and reassurance that she's safe and loved so she can come out of her shell again. For that reason we are looking for a home with no small children. Older, well-behaved children would be great! She will take some time to become comfortable in a new home but once she builds some trust she will make someone an awesome dog. She's dog friendly. She is not a fan of cats. Physical fence required-no invisible fences.
We are 100% foster based. A completed application must be on file prior to meeting one of our dogs. Please e-mail adoptapupanimalrescue@gmail.com for our application.
