My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jane was picked up as a stray in Modesto, finding herself back at the same shelter from which she had been adopted as a youngster eight years ago. Unbelievably, no one came to claim her - well-liked at the shelter, she had been there a month when Dusty Paws pulled her into foster care.

Although Jane is now almost nine (shelter records note her birthday as 9/29/08), she still has puppyish charm and is as sweet as she is beautiful. She has a soft, thick coat and tail and weighs about 66 lbs. She walks well on leash, knows commands of sit and down, and appears to be house trained.

Jane is good with people, including children. If you rub her belly she will be your instant friend - she loves belly rubs! Jane gets along with most other dogs and is currently fostering with a medium sized female (Chi Chi) and a smallish male dog (Benji). Although she has been known to (appropriately) correct Benji when he gets too annoying, she has been comfortable with her canine companions from day one. She is likely not good with cats.

Jane rides very well in the car, and although she doesn't like shots she didn't worry about going to the vet clinic for her check up. She is spayed and current on vaccinations. Jane is an easy dog to be with and easy to love.
