My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shiloh is a 3 year old neutered black male lab who weighs 90 pounds. He is bonded with his sister Mandy and they must be adopted together.

Shiloh was living the good life with Mandy, his fur sister, until their dad was suddenly taken from them. They have been living with relatives since his untimely death and adjusting pretty well. They are used to playing together in a fenced yard, but they are good on walks. Shiloh does pull some, as he is curious about everything, especially other dogs. He knows, and follows, basic commands. Shiloh and Mandy have lived together for nearly 3 ½ years and do everything together, but they are also great with other family members’ dogs: large and small. Shiloh is extremely affectionate and attentive to his people; he is a pretty submissive boy, too. He has no bad habits, but does love his bones to satisfy his chewing. Shiloh does whine a little bit at first when he is left behind, but shakes it off fairly quickly. Shiloh has never been around cats nor has he lived with children, so 10 years is the minimum age for kids.

UPDATE: Mandy (yellow with a touch of Chow) and Shiloh (black) are a bonded pair of four year olds who are looking for a new home after their owner suddenly passed away. They were adopted as pups from Lab Rescue and have been well loved and cared for. One of our volunteers who met them, described them as “adorable and sweet”. They love each other, snuggling and playing together, and can often be seen grooming each other but they don’t exclude other dogs from their lives- they are very good playmates with small and large dogs. They adore their toys, but not nearly as much as they do people.

They are strong on a leash but were walked together by their former owner who had no fence. They would benefit from some leash training to make it easier for them and their people.

Mandy and Shiloh are good in the car and enjoy adventures. They are also quite content looking out a window or door watching life go by. They are used to sleeping in the master bedroom either with their owner, or in their own nearby beds.

They have not lived with cats or kids, so they are approved for children 10 and older.

These are wonderful dogs who love to give kisses. They take treats ever so gently and like to munch on ice cubes. They truly reflect the life of love (and love of life) they have known.
