Maya's Story...
Maya is a 4-5year old ,aprox.80lb. female Rottweiler who was relinquished to a local Vet to be euthanized because Maya chased her new owner's cat. The vet could not understand why this beautiful, kissy, sweet affectionate dog was really being relinquished..but took Maya telling her owner that they would not euthanize her but got her to relinquish Maya instead. She is now being fostered and is just waiting for a permanent home.Maya is very ,very, affectionate with all people and children. She will lick you and love you in a heartbeat. She is so adorable and just wants to be close. She is spayed and current on shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maya, a Santa Barbara Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Santa Barbara, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Santa Barbara.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Barbara already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Barbara breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Barbara paves the way for another one to be saved.
