Harbor is a the prime example of a "man's best friend"! He is sweet, loving and seeks to please his foster parents. Harbor is very calm; he loves curling up in a comfy dog bed or basking in the sunlight! He sits nicely in the car, is perfectly potty trained, and he is crate trained- though can confidently be left out unattended. He loves house guests, is calm around children and gets along with other dogs. He is a beautiful Vizsla/hound dog mix, which is clear in his howl. BUT he has been so responsive to the short and minimal training he has received! He just wants to make people happy! If you are looking for a companion to add to the family, consider this guy!
If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.castawaypetrescue.org and fill out an adoption application. An adoption counselor will contact you. Please bring any dogs, children, and decision makers to your appointment. Be prepared to adopt and take your new family member home that day if we have a match. Please note that adoption counselors will only know of your interest if you submit an application. They do not see emails sent to the administration email account. The adoption counselor can answer your questions when they call after receiving your application. Please remember we are an all volunteer organization.
