Welcome back Sven, formerly known as Rudolph. There are times it is difficult to find the perfect match right away when we don't have a lot of background on a dog. We are thankful for families who are willing to foster dogs so that we can learn more about then in order to find them the best suited homes, which is the case with Sven. Sven is a lively, intelligent, loving companion who will entertain you for hours with his goofy curiosity and energy. He responds well to treat-driven training and praise. He likes to play chase and wrestle with other energetic dogs, as long as it is off-leash. He likes to play with sticks and will fetch balls if treats are involved. He has incredible hearing, and is frequently startled by loud noises. He is quiet, unless someone or some animal walks by the house. He can be shy of strangers and needs time and space to build his confidence with new people. Sven needs a loving, active and dog-experienced family with a quiet home environment. Sven also needs a home with NO CATS and NO SMALL CHILDREN. Help us find him the perfect forever home!
