Moustique here and I am a small mix. You are perhaps wondering what is in my mix except Animatch has decided to stop the guessing game. Yup, if I don’t care what you are, they feel that you shouldn’t care what I am. I may look like a few different breeds but wouldn’t you rather appreciate just how sweet I am, how I like to cuddle, how well I walk on leash. After all, looks don’t equal behaviour. Some labels help but some also hinder; like humans, we each have individual characteristics. We still understand that you are going to have preferences – floppy ears, long snout, non-shedding, colour, etc. but take off the blinders and let’s not give a bad rap to any dog. No dog’s adoption deserves to be slowed down because of her breed. Did you know that a minute percentage of a dog’s genes determine his or her physical appearance? So, if you did my DNA you might be in for a huge surprise and find out that I don’t have an ounce of Chihuahua in my mix! I know that is exactly what you were thinking! In fact, how I look on the outside tells you absolutely nothing. What you need to know is how much I love going for a walk, rolling in the grass, and pointing out squirrels. I am on the lookout for a good human who will love me as much as my last. Sadly, my guardian died and I was very distressed and frightened when I arrived. But with patience, kindness, and lots of encouragement, I will soon be back to my old self. If you are looking for a bright, little dog, who is just waiting to show off her personality, please consider adopting me. Fill in the Adoption Form so that I will once again have my very own home.
