Wanda's Story...
I'm Wanda! Wow, what a wonderful puppy I am! Waiting patiently for a place to call home…. I bet your wondering what it takes to wind up with a cutie like me. Well let me tell ya… I’ll need plenty of love, guidance, training and patience so that I can grow up to be a well-mannered family pet. I just need some time to get to know ya and feel comfortable- sharing my home with another dog could be great, I wouldn’t even mind a cat around and maybe even a respectful kid who knows to give me space when I need it. Me and my sister have been together through it all and we think it’s time we spread our wings and get to know some other folks! I’ll need and committed family willing to love me forever and ever. So what are you waiting for, come welcome me home!
1 year old-36lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wanda, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
