Hello, world, my name is Winston and I am a southern gentleman. I am approximately 10 years old, but I don't let age stop me! My foster mom says I am a very lovable guy, and she also says my white face makes me more "distinguished", whatever that means. I'm the perfect blend of energy and professional snuggle monster! I love to spend time on the couch, and foster mom says I must have lived in a home before because I keep trying to get up on her bed. I also love to go for a small walk around the block or explore the yard. It took me a couple of weeks to figure out that I was safe and wasn't going anywhere, and now I love and trust my foster family. I live with a small size foster sister and I do not mind her at all. There's also two small furry things named "cats". One doesn't like me because he's scared of big dogs, but I hope my southern charm will win him over. The other one likes to go with us on walks and we respect each other's space. I am very gentle on leash because, after all, there's nothing better than a leisurely morning or afternoon stroll to enjoy the day. Just like any seniors, my sight is not perfect, but I can see during the day. It didn't take me long to learn the layout of the house and now I don't bump into things when it's dark. Sometimes, it takes me a little longer to get around due to my age, but I am taking joint supplements and they help me get more "pep" in my step and feel young again! I am still learning how to play because I was never taught to chase anything. Foster mom throws this round thing in front of me and I don't know what to do with it. She says I'll learn with time. My favorite new things are these little things called treats. They are so yummy! Foster mom puts them in these holes called "puzzles" and I am excellent at getting them out. They call me a "master puzzle solver." I have solved every one of them. I am a low key and easy to handle kind of guy. I am looking for my forever home where I can enjoy my golden years. They say "we are as old as we feel" and I am feeling pretty good with the help of my foster family and the great care I'm now receiving.
