My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This 11 month old sweet girl weighs approx. 25 pounds and is fostered with two dogs. She is dog friendly and will be happy to play with other dogs. She is a bit confused as to why life changed for her but she is taking it very well. She loves to run and play in the yard, she loves to be loved! She is happy to chase a toy that you throw. She knows how to sit and is learning the rules of the house. The wonderful thing about this beauty is that she is responsive to correction. We had her on a leash in the yard and did not want her head to pass our legs. When she did, we leash corrected and she picked it up super quick. In less than 2 mintues, she was walking like a show dog! She will need continued practice in order to master the skill but she sure got the message fast! When she arrived it could not have been more hot and humid outside... poor baby! She wanted to go into the air conditioning but allowed us to take photos and videos.. what a smile on her pretty face! She is current on her rabies shot, has been heartworm tested negative, she is spayed, flea and tick preventative etc... As this baby settles in, we will be sure to update our description.

UPDATE: This girl is very sweet. She shows no food aggression and does obey the commands she knows. She does not know everything but there is a good dog in there who is smart and willing to learn.

UPDATE: Immi is crated a night... she has no problem complying. She does get excited and bouncy at times so I take her out and let her run in the yard. She does like to make sounds and she is getting the idea that "ENOUGH" means to stop. When she does, she gets attention for being quiet. She is smart and is picking that up. She is tired at the end of the day, and spends evenings on my lap asleep.
Immi is a smart little girl who learns quickly and is anxious to please. What more can you ask of a puppy? She needs a family that will spend some time with her, she is worth it.

UPDATE: Immi is doing better all the time, as she settles in, you can see the improvements. She likes to use her voice but she is learning when we want her quiet and has improved so much. She only makes sounds when excited. She is so cute... She is not a perfect dog, as she has somethings to learn but as mentioned above, she is a smart dog and she does want to please. Immi is now trusted out of the crate at night. She sleeps in the bedroom now. She is a housebroken dog. She will go to our door or whines when she has to go. Good girl.

If you are interested in seeing additional photos, please friend Sheryl's Den on Facebook. You can get a link to our Facebook page at www.sherylsden.org If you are interested in adopting, please complete and submit an application. Be sure to list the dog's names that you are interested in on the first question within the application. Please be sure your application is complete. The 1st question asks which dogs you are interested in. To see additional dogs, see our adoptable pet list at www.sherylsden.org

This animal is currently fostered in a private home. Our rescue is 100% foster home based. We do not have a shelter or kennel. They are cared for by a loving family until adopted. Each pup has had their first vet exam, a shot, and de-worming, etc We make sure they have no fleas prior to going into our foster homes. They are fostered out of the shelter at least two weeks or more prior to adopting to monitor health. We take their care seriously! Please note that the adoption appointments will be scheduled after your application is approved. Once adopted, feel free to change the dog's name. You do not have to keep the name listed in this post.

All dogs over 6 months are spayed/Neutered, rabie shot, heartworm tested, parvo distemper shot, and dewormed. IF YOU ADOPT a pup and live in the State of New Jersey we do have low cost spaying and neutering at very affordable prices. Kindly inquire upon an approved application. We also have an affordable program for out of state adopters.

We also offer low cost micro-chipping! For a low fee of only 20.00 we will have your dog microchipped. You will be able to register the microchip for a low cost fee of only 10.99 at the time of the adoption appointment. The 10.99 fee is a ONE time registration fee. The microchip is for the lifetime of the dog. You have the ability to update the contact information at NO cost. You will also have a one year membership to Home Again. This is a big savings for you.

***** If you're interested in fostering we could always use the help to save more animals. A crate, food, and medical care are provided. The animals are picked up in West Milford, NJ and brought back here for adoption. The time commitment is two to two and a half weeks. Please email letting us know what town you live in and we will forward information to you. *****

Sheryl's Den has teamed up with Petfirst Health care in an effort to offer pet insurance for your adopted family member. If you wish, you can enroll once you adopt. Your coverage will begin following your activation. The first 30 days are free! There is no cost to the adopter for this 30-day protection (This program is available in all US states and Washington DC, but not NY at this time) The 30-day coverage plan ensures the pets adopted are covered for accidents and illnesses. This plan provides $1,000 aggregate/ $500 per-incident limit of accident and illness protection. It reimburses 100% of vet bills after a $50 per-incident deductible. To activate the insurance, pet parents must call 1-855-710-7387. The insurance is not active until the adopter activates it, and is not retroactive to the date of the adoption. Once their insurance is active, they use the veterinarian of their choice and submit their bills for reimbursement, which PetFirst processes in as little as two weeks. Adopters have the option to extend or upgrade their coverage at the time of activation.
